Sustainability Statement
Vacumet Corp. is a leading metallizer of Plastics and Paper substrates for decorative, high-barrier and other functional applications. We are recognized as the largest "non-captive" metallizer worldwide with more than 35 years experience, five state-of-the-art U.S. based manufacturing facilities and more than 400 dedicated professionals.

Hence, VACU-BRITE® and the BARRIER-MET® family of branded metallized films use materials and processes that help meet the rigid criteria defining “sustainability” while providing Point-of-Purchase appeal along with effective gas, light and vapor barriers. When compared to the alternative of using aluminum foil, VACU-BRITE® and BARRIER-MET® metallized film offer several sustainability advantages:
- The manufacturing process specific to metallized film products inherently utilizes less energy and resources as compared to that of aluminum foil based products.
- Significant Source Reduction in the quantity of aluminum required - upwards of 700 times less!
- Waste Reduction through improved Product to Package ratios.
BARRIER-MET® & VACU-BRITE® metallized films are manufactured using Clean Product Technologies and Best Practices. Raw materials and packaging that are not fully utilized in the final product are recovered and recycled. These include base film, trim, packaging supplies, aluminum wire and its bi-products.
